Easter

Easter ended up being cold this year.  It was the last weekend of March so you never know what kind of weather you'll get that early in the year but it was definitely cold this year and the wind was blowing.  So we put our long pants and jackets on and headed to SkyWest's Egg Hunt first thing that morning.  The kids were each in their own area so we had to split up.  I took Mia and Randy helped Halen and Alex find where they were supposed to be.
Mia waiting for the starting whistle
Mia wanted me to pick the eggs up for her at first
She finally got the hang of it and started to gather eggs
She got quite a few
I didn't get to Alex in time to get a pic but I got one of Halen
You gotta be fast in the older sections and they don't have as many
eggs so Mia got a lot more than the boys...she shared. :)
After the egg hunt, we got word from grandma and grandpa Simkins that it was too cold and windy in Snow Canyon where we usually go for our picnic so we opted to go to a church to get together for the afternoon.  It turned out really good actually.  We just set up in the gym and let the kids play while we ate and visited.  I'm sad I didn't get any pics of us inside but I did get some pics of the egg hunt that grandma put together for the grandkids.
The Easter Bunny also found us.  He had fun hiding jelly beans around the house and filling the kids baskets.  The boys slept in Halen's room together the night before and were awake bright and early waiting to go in to see how much candy they got.  It was almost like Christmas morning. :)
The baskets are ready
Checking out their loot
Mia did pretty well finding jelly beans

The boys know most of the hiding places...the Easter Bunny
needs to find different ones next year. :)
They didn't want to stop to take a pic...they wanted to dig into the candy :)
Hope you all had a happy Easter and were able to take the time to remember our Savior and the sacrifices He made for us.  I love Him and I love my family!
