Snow, Snow & More Snow

The first day of February found us waking up to snow in St George.  The boys begged and begged for me to let them skip school that day so they could play in it but I could tell it wouldn't last long so made them a deal.  I told them they had to school that day but that I would take them to Enterprise to play in the snow right after school on Friday.  They didn't like it at first but it turned out to be fine.  Mia got to go out and play in the little bit of snow we did get though.  She's still obsessed with snow angels so that the first thing she wanted to do.

She only lasted outside for about 10 minutes.  We don't have snow boots so her feet were wet and cold and she was having a hard time making a snowball so she got frustrated and wanted to come in.  As soon as school got out at 1:15 on Friday, we loaded up and headed to Enterprise.  They got over 2 feet of snow and even though it was 4 days later that we went up to play in it, there was still PLENTY to play in.
Of course Mia had to make a snow angel first :)
Grandpa tried to get the 4 wheeler to make a path in the snow but it was too deep to go too far.  The kids were hoping to have grandpa pull them behind on a sled but it just wasn't going to happen this time. :(
Alex tried to dig a path for grandpa :)
Mia wanted to make a big snowball
Grandpa kept trying with the 4 wheeler while the kids played
Since we couldn't get the 4 wheeler plan to work, we took our sleds over to a little slope behind my parents to sled down it instead.  It doesn't look like much of a hill but it was perfect for them to slide down and not have forever to haul their sled back up.
Mia even carry her own tube up while Halen pushed Alex down

Grandma even gave grandpa a shove down the hill :)
The boys lasted outside longer than Mia did so my mom and I took her back to the house while the boys played for a little while longer.  After they were done, we warmed up with some hot chocolate and had a quick dinner before heading back home.  I love living in St George where we don't have to deal with the snow all the time but it's close enough to go play in anyway.  Thanks grandma & grandpa for playing in the cold with us!
