Since Halen still wasn't feeling the best after getting his tonsils out, we decided to stay home and have our own New Year's Eve party. We didn't do anything too crazy. We just played games, ate snacks and watched the ball drop on TV. Alex got Spot It from his cousin, Hayley, so we played quite a few games of that and Halen got the Game of Life for Christmas so we played that for a while too. Mia just kinda did her own thing while we played games.

After the ball dropped, the kids insisted on lighting the last few sparklers we had so we just went out back and did that for a little bit. Mia's come a long way this year since she wouldn't even go near a sparkler last New Year's. She would just cover her ears all the time. But this time she got brave and even held 2!
