Mini Indy

The Mini Indy has been an event we've looked forward to every year.  SkyWest teams up with United Way to earn money and have a good time doing it.  It used to be that Randy & I would help out in the pit on the final day when they did the actual go cart racing but over the years Randy has been asked to participate in the golf tournament on Wednesday with some of the vendors and he's obviously loved that.  Then the last couple of years, Randy & I have been asked to help out with the show car judging and time trials that they do on Thursday.  It's been fun to see all the creative ideas some of the teams come up with.

We pull the kids out of school for the races on Friday which of course make us pretty fantastic parents (at least for that day).

We usually leave there sunburned and really full of the yummy food but it's totally worth it.  Not to mention that they usually raise around $80,000 for United Way!
