Christmas Eve/Day

After we got back into town from Enterprise, we started doing our Christmas Light scavenger hunt where we drive town marking off things on our list.  It's a tradition our kids really look forward to and it's a lot of fun to drive around and see all the fun decorations.

When we got home, we got in our jammies and sang a few Christmas songs around the piano and gathered under the tree to listen to dad read "The Night Before Christmas".
Then we set out the treats for Santa and the reindeer and it was off to bed to try to get some sleep before the "big guy" came to drop off presents.  The boys have slept in the same room on Christmas Eve for a couple years but Mia got to get in on the fun this year and we brought her bed into Halen's room too.  It was a little crowded but that's part of the fun right?
Ready for bed
The long awaited morning finally arrived!  We had arranged get up at 8:00 but I started hearing giggling and talking from Halen's room around 7:30 so we got up and got ready to unleash the madness. :)

Christmas fell on Sunday this year and our ward met at 9am.  That was a little early for us so we decided to go to another ward at 1pm.  It was a little hectic trying to get everyone to put their toys away long enough to get ready for church but it was nice to be able to slow down for a little bit on Christmas and listen to some Christmas music and messages about the Savior and the true meaning of Christmas.
