Labor Day Weekend

For Labor Day weekend we went up to the cabin so we could go to Swiss Days and spend some time in the cooler weather.  Because we had such a dry year this year, the leaves were already changing so we tried to take a few pics of the kids with the leaves but the kids didn't really cooperate well so this is about as good as we got...at least the leaves were pretty. :)
Halen kinda clashed with the leaves :)
They had fun swinging even if they didn't like taking pics
Mia's always photogenic
Alex is always being silly

We went to Randy's parents church meetings and since they have the 11:00, it was PACKED.  We were prepared though and went early enough to get a seat fairly close to the front.  Elder Jeffery R. Holland is in their ward up there and when he's in town...which isn't that often, he comes to their church.  He happened to be there that weekend so it was an especially neat treat to be able to listen to him speak for a minute and bear his testimony.  Every time we've been there when he's been there he's been very gracious to stay after Sacrament Meeting and shake hands with everyone.  There's always a line so we haven't shook his hand every time but the boys wanted to again so we did.  Elder Holland made the comment that the boys looked like future missionaries.  They thought it was pretty neat to meet him and then when they saw him on TV for conference a few weeks later, it meant even more to them.  He's such an awesome man!

After church, we went back to the cabin for lunch then went down the mountain to a little park to let the kids play a little bit.  The boys threw the football around while Mia and I played on the playground.  It was overcast and was perfect weather.

We always hate to have to go home after spending time at the cabin.  It's so relaxing and a nice getaway for everyone.
