Halloween/Fall

The last week of October always seems to be a crazy week for us where we try to fit too much in but I think we got it all.  We carved our pumpkins the Saturday before Halloween.  It always takes longer than expected because the boys always say they're going to help but then they never do.  They get grossed out with all the "guts" of the pumpkin and they don't want to get their hands dirty.  I don't like to do it either so thankfully Randy doesn't mind and he'll digs right in.  The boys did design their pumpkin faces so I guess they did help a little bit.  We ran out of time and didn't get Mia's carved but we still sat it out by the door.

For FHE on Monday, we went out to Staheli Farm.  We've never been there and the kids are always asking to go to the corn maze so we decided to give in.  Of course it was the coldest night of the week and it was trying to rain but we still had fun.  We probably would have spent a little more time in the maze if it wasn't as cold though.

Wednesday night was our ward trunk-or-treat and chili cook-off.  Our ward really gets into dressing up and I almost feel out of place by not dressing up.  We left there with full tummies and a bunch of candy and it wasn't even Halloween yet. Ü

Halloween was a full day.  The boys both had parties at school then we went straight to SkyWest after we picked Halen up to go trick-or-treating there.  We honestly wouldn't need to go trick-or-treating anymore after that since they got a full bucket of candy in less than an hour.  But we kept going.  We emptied their buckets into grocery bags then went over to Marsha's house to meet up with all the cousins to go around the neighborhood together.  We first went over to grandpa Singleton and Elva's house to show them their costumes then we trick-or-treated a dozen or so more houses before going back to Marsha's to let the kids play for a bit.
