Wednesday was our "day off" from the Disney parks. We had used hotel points for our trip and only had points for 3 nights at this hotel but used other hotel points for another hotel for the last 2 nights. So we needed to switch hotels on Wednesday and we thought it would be good to break up our walking 10 miles/day at Disneyland.
The kids had been looking forward to swimming since we got there and were dying to get in. So we got up just in time to get breakfast at the hotel and they were nice enough to give us a late check out so we let the kids swim for a while before we left. Unfortunately it was an outdoor pool in Southern California in March and it wasn't heated so it was a little cold but the kids didn't seem to mind too much...at least for a while. After about 45 minutes, Mia was shivering so bad I made her get out and dry off. She wasn't happy with me but the boys got out soon after and we promised they could swim at the next hotel too.
We dried off and loaded up to head to our next hotel. It was a little further away from Disneyland than we were hoping for but it was free so we thought we'd make it work. :) We had planned to stop at Hometown Buffet on the way for lunch/dinner, but when we got to the address the website said was close to our hotel, it was gone. :( So we had to make last minute plans and since there wasn't much in the area to choose from, we settled on IHOP...not my favorite but the kids like it. After we ate, we checked into the hotel and the kids were already ready to try out the pool. I actually got in with them this time so I didn't even take the camera with me (we don't need photo evidence Ü) so I didn't get any pics of us at this pool. Of course it wasn't heated either but this hotel had a hot tub so we were able to stay out longer and go between the two.
When it started getting dark, we went and showered and got ready for bed. We put on a movie and ate some snacks in bed until everyone was tired enough to fall asleep. We knew we had an early day the next morning since we were now staying about 30 minutes from Disneyland and we were using our Magic Morning so we needed to hit the sack. But it was a fun day just hanging out together and not really being on any kind of schedule.
