Halloween

Halloween wasn't as stressful this year as it has been in the past...thank goodness.  Since Halloween was on Friday, it was early-out at school so we had a little extra time in the afternoon to get ready for the evening.  First up though was Alex's costume parade at school.  I wish Halen's class did something like this but Kindergarten is the only class that does it at our school.  But Alex was SO excited to have us come watch him parade around the playground.  He was sad that he couldn't wear his mask but I told him everyone would still be able to tell that he was a red Power Ranger. :)
Lining up to go into class
I shoulda waited to snap the picture since Alex isn't the focus but oh well :)
Taking a couple laps around the playground
After school, we were able to go home for a while and get ready for the rest of the night.  We went over to SkyWest at 4 to trick-or-treat there.  It's absolutely crazy how much candy they leave that place with.  We don't buy Halloween candy any more because we just take some out of their buckets to hand out at the door (shhh...don't tell).

After SkyWest, we headed over to meet all the Simkins clan at great grandpa Singleton & Elva's house to let him see all the kids before heading out for the night.
Our trick-or-treaters
Minnie "Mia" Mouse
Power Ranger Alex
Red Ghost Ninja Halen

Pirate grandma and all her grandkids...it gets a little chaotic :)
After grandpa & Elva's we went over to Marsha's to trick-or-treat her neighborhood for a while.  We went to as many as the littlest ones would let us then we headed for home.  We weighed all the kids candy when we got home and we ended up with 13 pounds of candy all together!!!  WOW!

Look at how much candy Halen has!!!
Once the kids were in bed it was a pretty quiet evening after that.  Another Halloween in the books....
