Alex's Preschool Graduation

Alex has had so much fun going to preschool this year.  He was more than ready to start and now he's more than ready to go to Kindergarten.  He's especially excited to go to the same school as his big brother.  Alex has tested far above the others in his class and his teacher, Miss Janna, was impressed at the level he's at.  I think a lot of it comes from him watching and doing a lot of the same things that Halen has so he's learned some along with Halen.  Miss Janna would send notes home from school with Alex telling me something that Alex had done in class that day that really touched her.  She always says what a kind heart Alex has and it's so true.  He's always concerned about other people and wants to make sure everyone is included.  Miss Janna told me stories about how Alex would save his treat to bring home to Halen and Mia or would save his treat to give to his friend who got in trouble in class and wasn't going to get one.  I also heard stories about how he was always hugging and kissing the girls...oh my! Ü  Alex was by far the tallest in the class and always looked out for the smaller ones.  He's such a considerate boy and I love his tender heart.

On the day of graduation, Alex could hardly wait for us to come to his class and watch his program.  The grin on his face said it all when he saw us walk into the classroom.

After they said their parts and sang their songs, it was time to walk across the bridge and get their certificate.  It all happened so quick it was hard to get a picture.

Alex became really good friends with a girl in our neighborhood who was also in his class.  She was one he looked after quite a bit and saved treats for. Ü  He also had a really good friend named Jeff but he left before we could get a picture.  We're hoping Alex and Jeff can be in the same Kindergarten class next year so maybe we can get a pic of them then.
