Saturday morning we drove to a park & ride lot and caught the train into the game. Randy didn't eat much breakfast so he could load up at the game.

It was all-you-can-eat hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts, nachos & drinks. Since it was my first time to Dodger Stadium, I had to have a Dodger Dog then I had a nacho. I was done after that. But the drinks came in handy because the seats were in right-center field and it was a day game so we were in the sun the entire time.

Once we got to our car and got on the freeway toward the temple, I called my mom to see how the boys were doing. That's when I found out that my dad had been taken to the hospital in an ambulance the night before. He's been having trouble with his arms going numb and having chest pains and it got bad Friday night. Luckily, Brent & Whittney were in Enterprise that night so they stayed with the boys Saturday. They brought them down to St G and they all had a big slumber party at their house. They didn't find much wrong with my dad so he was released Saturday night and stayed with Brent too.
We made it to the temple just in time for the 8:00 session. Since I couldn't be home to help my dad or take my kids, the temple was the next best place to be. The Newport Beach temple is a small temple and it was a completely full session. It was a beautiful temple. I loved the murals that were painted in the ordinance rooms. It was late when we got out, so we just headed to our hotel.
Sunday morning, we decided to go back to the temple to take pictures since it was too dark the night before. We had left our camera at home on accident so we had gone to Walmart and bought a cheap camera. That's why our pics didn't turn out the greatest but at least we have some.

After taking a few pics, we went back to the hotel to change and headed back to the airport. We were able to catch the direct flight back to St G and made it home by about 6:30 & picked the kids up from Josie & Scott's house. It was so nice to get away just the two of us. Even though I got sunburned and my dad got sick causing a little stress of what to do with the kids, it was a good weekend (& my dad's doing much better).
