Easter

On Easter Saturday, we met all the family at our usual spot in Snow Canyon State Park.  The kids have so much fun hiking around the red rocks and playing in the sand.  We always leave there sunburned and dirty but it's worth it.

Grandma Simkins put together an Easter Egg Hunt in the trees and the kids always look forward to.  We've learned from past years that we can't hide the eggs too far ahead of the actual hunt because the birds eat the candy. :)

Then it was time for the ultra competitive egg roll down the hill.  Everyone comes up with some crazy thing to do to their eggs to keep them from breaking so it's always fun to see what people come up with.  We're not that creative but Scott put a parachute on his this year, Josie put hers inside a tennis ball & Luke put some kind of liquid around his to try to pad it.
Sunday morning we got the kids up to come see what the Easter Bunny brought them.  They were pretty happy with their baskets and had fun looking around the house for jelly beans that he left.

Then it was time to get ready for church.  I love Easter time and the chance it gives me to reflect on our Savior and his life and sacrifice for us.  I'm so thankful to know that I can be with my family for eternity because of the blessings I've received from my Father in Heaven.  I love these guys so much!
Don't they clean up nice?

Looks like you have all been out and about and having a good time! Don't we wish that this weather would last forever!?! We will have to get together when we are stuck in our houses this summer with nothing else to do!
