After the Easter Egg Hunt, we headed out to the kite festival at Sun River. We met up with grandma & grandpa Simkins and Marsha and her family in the parking lot and rode the bus in (that's one of the kids highlights since they don't ride the bus to school). After turning in their reading charts for kites, the kids wanted to go ride the "train". Halen, Alex & Cassidy were the only brave ones to ride at the time but they had fun.

One of the booths had a martial arts demonstration and they let the boys karate chop a board which they thought was pretty neat.
Next we headed over to the bounce houses where they each got to pick one slide and they both wanted to do the jousting thing.
Cassidy was supposed to dance for the continuous entertainment but she wasn't feeling very good and decided not to. So we were going to leave when Brent and his family came and Jaxon wanted someone to ride the train with him so Halen, Alex & Mia all went with him for one last ride before heading home.
We didn't fly any kites this year because there were so many already in the air we didn't want to compete for air space so we took the kids to the school the next day to fly them which was fun not to have to worry about tangling strings with anyone.
