We decided to bless Mia on July 22, while Randy's brother, Ryan, was in town. Unfortunately, it ended up being a weekend his brother, Rhett, couldn't make it. We felt bad that they weren't here but we're happy that everyone else made it. Mia is very blessed to have so many family members who love & support her.
Mia looked absolutely beautiful!!! It was kind of special for me because Mia got to wear my blessing dress. I had my mom get it out of her cedar chest a few months ago thinking that it probably wouldn't work because it would be yellowed or something but it wasn't at all. After a wash and steam, the dress looked great. My mom even had the shoes to go with it so it was really special.
Mia did great during the blessing. She was awake the entire time but never made a sound. Randy gave her a wonderful blessing. I'm so happy that I found someone who is such a great dad to my kids and someone worthy to bless each of our children when they need him.
After church, we all came back to our house for a little lunch. Everyone helped out by bringing some yummy food and it was fun to sit and visit with everyone and let the kids play with each other. Mia pretty much slept the entire afternoon while everyone took turns holding her. It was a wonderful day!!!
