Alex is 7 months

I've been so bad at posting anything lately. I wish I had a good excuse but I don't. We're all still recovering from bronchitis and have that nasty cough that hangs around for weeks but other than that we're doing ok.

Alex turned 7 months old on Sunday and is the cutest little kid. Now that he can sit up, he's a little happier to sit and entertain himself for a while. He's still very much attached to me and wants me to hold him a lot but he's starting to get past that. Don't get me wrong, I love it when he gets all excited when I start coming toward him and he holds his skinny little arms out for me to pick him up, but as you moms know, it's hard to get much done when you have a 20-pound attachment on your hip. I think he will be better once he can crawl and get where he wants to go without me. Then he can play with Halen and not have to just sit and watch him.
Ain't I cute?
As for Halen, he's having to learn to share his toys with other kids and it's been a learning process. We were at my parents house one day when my niece, Cassidy, came up to visit and started playing with some of the toys Halen had out. When he saw her playing with the toys he's never had to share before (he was the only grandchild for almost 2 years), he got a little possessive and started cleaning up before even being asked. He put the toys back in the bedroom and shut the door. Ü He's a funny kid. There aren't any kids in our neighborhood to play with so most of his interaction comes from nursery and his cousins. Hopefully Alex will help alleviate some of his over protectiveness of his toys.
Halen is always loving on Alex. Do you think
Alex is getting a little tired of it? Ü

Halen LOVES being outside (what boy doesn't) and has so much fun on our slide in the backyard and playing baseball. I just wish it wasn't so hot already so I could stand to be out with him longer. Alex enjoys the outdoors too so I'm apparently the only one complaining about having to be outside. Oh well, we do a lot of things for our kids even if we don't want to.
Halen is so proud of himself now that he can
climb up the slide all by himself.
Alex just chillin' while he watches Halen play
