Halen hit a mile stone this year by turning 12 and receiving the priesthood at church. His dad was able to ordain him to the office of a deacon and gave him the Aaronic priesthood. Grandma and grandpa Simkins were able to be here as well as grandpa Ogden. Grandma Ogden was in Florida to be with Halen's cousin, Cael, since he was ordained the same day. Halen is one day older than Cael so we knew grandma and grandpa Ogden would have to split up for this event. :(
Halen's had quite the growth spurt as well and is measuring about 5'7" already. I hope he keeps going. It's so fun to watch him grow and learn and we absolutely love having Halen in our family. He LOVES sports and is a walking dictionary when it comes to sports stats...both useful and useless information...haha.
We sure love you Halen and we're so proud of you and the fantastic young man you're turning into!!!
