Marathon Weekend

My sister in law, Jolene, came down to St George to run the marathon the first weekend in October.  They got here Friday night and came over to or house and had dinner and watched the BYU/USU football game.  They only brought their youngest two kids since Brayden and Hayley had football and soccer games they didn't want to miss.  The kids had fun playing while we watched the game then Jolene headed over to Randy's parents to try to get some sleep before having to get up at 3am to catch the shuttle.

Saturday morning we went to cheer Jolene on as she came into town.  She was making really good time and came by earlier than we thought but that was good.  Once she passed us, we headed over to the finish line but by the time we found a parking spot and walked over, Jolene had already crossed and we had missed her. :(  When Randy, Rhett or grandpa Ogden ran the marathon, we always had plenty of time to get to the finish line so we were surprised that we missed her by so far.  I think she finished with a time of 3:51 which is great.  So proud of her!
Obviously, Jolene was ready for a nap so Randy & I volunteered to take Madi and Taya to our house for the afternoon so she could rest for awhile.  The boys love playing with the girls and the afternoon went by pretty quick.

Later that night, Rhett and Jolene came back over to our house then we went to dinner and came back to play cards while the kids watched "Epic".  Halen was the only one to make it through the whole movie without falling asleep and we only got through one round of Crazy Rook before Jolene was ready for bed again. Ü
