Easter 2012

We started off our Easter celebrations by going to an Easter Egg Hunt at SkyWest. The boys have always been in the same age group until this year when we had to split up so I took Alex & Randy took Halen. They both went running when the whistle blew and found a spot off by themselves and started collecting eggs. They both ended up with baskets full off eggs and candy. Halen even found a prize egg that had $1 inside. After all was said and done, we ended up with 36 eggs between the two and LOTS of candy.

After the egg hunt, we headed to Snow Canyon for our annual picnic with the fam. The boys had a ton of fun hiking the rocks, playing in the sand and playing with Luke's dog, Shelby.

Grandma Simkins put together a little egg hunt for the grandkids. They all had fun finding what was left of the eggs (the birds found them first and broke open the plastic eggs and carried some off Ü).

The weather was great this year and we had a fun time eating and visiting with everyone. I'm not sure who ended up winning the egg roll this year. Brent & Scott both had semi-in-tact eggs so I guess it was a tie. It was good to see my grandma Singleton there too. She finished her last round of chemo a couple weeks ago and is finally getting her strength back.

The next morning, the boys were excited to wake up to see if the Easter Bunny found them. Good news...he did!!! Halen & Alex had so much fun running aroung the living room looking for jelly beans and candy that the Easter Bunny had hidden for them.
