Halen was finally old enough to play soccer this year. He was pretty excited. We were able to get him on the same team as his friend, Dallin, which made him even more excited. The league he's in plays 3 on 3 so everyone is able to get a crack at the ball. Well, the first game of the season we only had 3 players show up so they all got to play the entire game. He really wanted to be the goalie but they don't have one at this level so he had to settle for trying to make the goals. He did pretty good for never playing before. He was especially excited to get a uniform to wear.
Ultimately we lost 2-1 but for our first game and only having 3 players, I thought we did pretty good. We should do a little better after we have a practice or two. But Halen is having fun so that's the important thing.
